To Twitter or not to Twitter?

Has anyone else heard all the hype about twitter.com these days? I was watching "The View" this morning and they had a long discussion about it and how Elizabeth and Sheri love it but the others are rebelling against it. I decided to see what it was all about and I have to admit it is addicting but only because I can take a look into the personal lives of celebrities. Like I need to do anymore of that! Just one more thing to distract me from studying when I need to.
So my thoughts on Twitter are cool to look at everyone else's but i'm just not that into updating what I'm doing every hour or so.. Check it out if your into stalking celebrities :) you'll pleasantly surprised that you can find just about anyone on that website!

Have a good week!

Thoughts on Love

When is the right time to say "I love you" in a relationship? So often these days people are saying it faster and faster in their relationships. When do you know you are in love? In my previous relationships I've told 3 people I loved them. Did I love them all? No, two of them yes definitely. But I can't remember how far into the relationships I said them, well I do but I don't remember why I felt it was the "right" time to say them. Does that mean I didn't really love them? I don't think so.. I find myself in a new relationship, we've been together for around 3 months and I'm getting some serious feelings for him. But i'm not sure that I love him, yet. I definitely know that theres the potential there.
Since I've changed my major I've been taking some different classes, one in particular Marriage and Family in the Global Context. And I've just finished studying a chapter on love, passion, and commitment. It basically teaches various ways of defining those 3 words and the different doctors that came up with ways to evaluate them, a very interesting chapter I might add. Here's a little something from it.. "According to Robert Steinberg, the intimacy, passion, and decision or commitment can be combined in eight ways, with these combinations forming the basis for classying love:"

  • Liking (intimacy only)
  • Romantic love (intimacy and passion)
  • Infatuation (passion only)
  • Fatuous love (passion and commitment)
  • Empty love (decision or commitment only)
  • Companionate love (intamacy and commitment)
  • Consumate love (intimacy, passion, and commitment)
  • Nonlove (absence of intimacy, passion, and commitment)
So this lead me to start trying to figure out what kind of relationship I now have and if there's love and if so what kind? Is it the right kind? The wrong kind? What kind of love do you have?

I missed it again!

Right now i'm supposed to be studying for a Biology test, but as you can see i'm not doing what i'm supposed to be. :( Anyway onto the reason for this blog! This is the second time it has snowed in Auburn since I moved up here and the 2nd time i've MISSED IT! I've been in Dothan both times the heavens finally opened up and dropped snow into south Alabama. We did get to see it snow some in Dothan but nothing compared to what Auburn got. We left Dothan early Sunday afternoon to get back and hopefully see some of the gorgeous snow everyone kept talking about. We got into town about 4 or so and this is what we found!

This is our house :)

It was so pretty! Me and Rich were like little kids coming into Auburn seeing all the rooftops covered in snow. I came home unpacked the car and went straight to making snow angels. It was such a pretty day and the snow stayed all night and when I got up for school this morning it was still everywhere. It was so cool.. it actually looked like it was a normal thing. Excuse me for my amazement with snow but come one I'm from Alabama!
These pics are from school this morning:
